Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lambasted the incumbent government for reducing funds for education in the federal budget.
In a tweet, he claimed that the reduction of allocation of funds for higher education by more than Rs20 billion will have a negative effect.
Shehbaz criticised the PTI-led government for “playing havoc with the future of the country”.
“All scholarships done away with. Universities asked to increase fees. The budget of higher education reduced by over Rs. 20 billion. This is how the guardians of Naya Pakistan are playing havoc with the future of the country”, the PML-N president tweeted.
