ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that Pakistan will not allow any international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to operate in such a manner that will accomplish any hidden agendas in the name of social development, which is against the constitution of Pakistan and the well-being of our nation.
He was speaking at a round table organized by Center for Peace and Security Development Studies in collaboration with the DADABHOY Foundation in honor of the delegation of the European Union to Pakistan and Ambassadors/High Commissioners of European countries in Islamabad on Thursday.
Shehryar Afridi said that Pakistan has restructured and changed regulatory process for I-NGO’s to operate in the country.
He said that Pakistan will defend its homeland at any cost, to improve its security; Pakistan is working on fencing its 909KM border with Iran as well. The fencing will be completed soon; he said adding Pakistan is fully committed to maintain religious harmony.
The State Minister for Interior said Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered to take strict action against the culprits who are involved in the forced conversions of two Hindu girls in Sindh.
In his keynote address, European Ambassador Jean-Francois Cautain said that EU-Pakistan strategic agreement will help mutual trade between Pakistan and Europe. This will help Pakistani exports to increase as well.
