Indian malevolence a risk to regional peace: Ghulam Sarwar Khan

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan said on Wednesday that Indian malevolence was a risk to regional peace.

“New Pakistan is on Indian nerves but no one can obstruct the country’s way to progress,” he said and added that India was struggling to hide its inefficiency by levelling allegations against Pakistan after the Pulwama attack.

The minister said that Pakistan is a peace loving country and it had rendered innumerable sacrifices to maintain peace in the region. “Pakistan’s army and civil society have played an important role in the war on terror.”

He added that it was evident that Pakistan always respected the sovereignty of its neighbouring countries. “India should know that this is a new Pakistan with a new mindset that does not want terrorism and war. It should provide substantial evidence to Pakistan so that it can help probe the attack.”

The federal minister further said that stationing a million troops in Kashmir and by not conducting a referendum, India was challenging the writ of the United Nations (UN).

“By killing innocent Kashmiris, India has proved that it is an irresponsible state. It is high time the UN resolves the long-pending Kashmir dispute peacefully,” he concluded.
