Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has said that a recent statement by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry regarding forward blocs in a number of political parties “will surely rock or even dismantle” the party’s alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“Comments by Fawad Chaudhry will surely rock or even dismantle this coalition. PTI officials and Imran Khan need to discipline children,” he tweeted.

Moonis Elahi added that those talking about creating a forward bloc within PML-Q should remember that there is forward bloc ready within the PTI as well.
The information minister had earlier stated that “we have refrained ourselves from forging forward blocs in the PML-Q, PPP and the PML-N as a favour.”
Speaking in a TV programme on Monday, Fawad had also said that “a grand alliance will now be formed in Sindh comprising PTI, MQM-P, GDA and a forward bloc within PPP, which will turn the ruling party into a minority in Sindh Assembly. A new government will then be formed in the province.”
On Tuesday, the information minister arrived in Karachi and reiterated the demand for Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to resign from the post. The Sindh CM’s name was mentioned in a JIT report in money laundering and fake accounts case.
