At least 12 injured in two separate blasts in Balochistan

–IED blasts injure eight in Pishin, two in Panjgur

–Balochistan CM condemns blast, directs improvement in security 

QUETTA: At least 12 people, including four security personnel, were injured in two separate blasts targeting the law enforcement agencies in Balochistan on Sunday.

As many as 10 people were injured in a remote control device blast near Police Lines in Pishin, said Levies sources, adding that the blast targetted the vehicle of Levies Naib Tehsildar Abdul Karim Tareen near Pishin bypass. Police said Tareen and two other Levies personnel were injured, along with seven civilians.

Nearby buildings were also damaged in the powerful blast. The injured, including Karim, were transferred to the Quetta’s hospital. The doctor said the naib tehsildar’s condition is critical, but all others injured are out of danger.

The local administrations and law enforcement agencies reached the site soon after the incident and cordoned off the area to launch a probe.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan condemned the blast. He expressed grievances over the injuries of the tehsildar and people in the attack.

“Those involved in the heinous crime shall be dealt with by law,” said Khan.

The chief minister also directed to improve security arrangements in the province.

Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove condemned the blast and said that the enemies of the state are involved in creating unrest.

He directed that a complete report of the incident be sent to him and remarked that Pakistan’s war against terrorism shall continue.

TWO INJURED IN PANJGUR:

Separately, at least two persons were injured in an explosion near an FC camp in Panjgur.

According to security forces, a remote control explosive device planted in a motorcycle parked near the camp went off when an FC vehicle was passing by.

FC personnel Zawan and a civilian Abdul Waheed were injured, who were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Panjgur. LEAs personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area.
