Fawad welcome, but not for conspiracies: Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI: Advisor to the Chief Minister (CM) on Information, Law and Anti-Corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab while commenting on the cancelation of Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry’s visit to Sindh has said that Chaudhry was more than welcome to visit the province but not for the purpose of hatching conspiracies, adding that the land of Sindh would extend its hospitality whenever the information minister visited.

In a handout issued here on Monday, the advisor said that it seemed like Fawad Choudhry had to cancel his visit after having realised a few ground realities.

The barrister said that PTI cannot make government in Sindh even if they struggle for 50 years and that the news regarding a forward block among PPP members are only rumours.

He mentioned that the present government was successful in retaining its footing with the support of merely four seats.

He said that joint investigation team (JIT) reports are not heavenly scripture and the federal government refrains from unconstitutional activities in Sindh because the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is ruling here with 99 members, all of whom are united with the PPP leadership that believes in democracy.

Further, Murtaza also said that he had conveyed his message to the members of PTI saying that they must read the Constitution of Pakistan, adding that the incumbent government’s efforts of maligning the PPP leadership could be termed as a political coup.

He said that the Sindh government, including PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and others are being targeted for exposing the federal government’s undemocratic conduct and anti-masses policies.

He concluded by saying that neither the chief minister nor any other person was even summoned by the JIT.
