SRINAGAR: Indian troops martyred six more youth in Occupied Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday, the Kashmir Media Service reported.

According to the report, the youth were martyred by the Indian troops, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group during a cordon and search operation in the Arampora area of the district.

Following this, mobile and internet services have been suspended from the area.

Earlier, India had strongly reacted against the condemnation issued by Prime Minister Imran Khan on the recent Pulwama killings in the held Kashmir.

“I think it will be better if they mind their own business and look at the internal affairs which are in a mess,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had said during a media briefing when asked about PM Imran Khan’s remarks.

Kumar had alleged that Pakistan took no action against terror groups operating from its soil, adding that statements coming from Islamabad demonstrate their “insincerity and duplicity”.

On Sunday, PM Imran had condemned the killing of several civilians in India-occupied Kashmir’s Pulwama and threatened to raise the issue at the UN. “We will raise the issue of India’s human rights violations in IOK and demand UNSC fulfil its Kashmir plebiscite commitment,” he demanded.

PM Imran had stressed that only dialogue, neither violence nor killing, would resolve this conflict.

In a second tweet, the prime minister said that Kashmiris must be allowed to decide their future. His statement came a day after 14 Kashmiris were killed when Indian forces opened fire on them during a protest demonstration.

Earlier this month, the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service released a report stating that Indian troops martyred 95,238 innocent Kashmiris, including 7,120 in custody, since January 1989 till date.

The report said that “the troops molested 11,107 women and damaged 109,191 residential houses and other structures during the period,” adding that “Indian troops and police subjected at least 8,000 people to custodial disappearance in that time.”

Earlier, in November, the Indian troops had martyred two more youth in Pulwama district of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) raising the toll to 25 in that week.
