Miss Spain, Angela Ponce, made waves as the first transgender contestant in the 66-year-old pageant, Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, was the first runner-up, followed by Miss Venezuela, Sthefany Gutierrez.
This is the fourth time a Southeast Asian country claimed the international beauty pageant, Philippines has previously won the title in 2015,1973 and 1969.
