The local administration has “tricked” Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar into relaunching an old bus project in the district, a private media outlet reported Saturday.
According to reports, the chief minister inaugurated a fleet of ten buses during his visit to the district; however, it was learnt that the inauguration was merely a relaunching as the fleet comprised of old buses.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Buzdar said that it was the government’s priority to provide a safe and comfortable commuting facility to masses even in remote areas.
Earlier, the chief minister, who boasts austerity, also faced criticism for arriving in DG Khan for being escorted by a 27-vehicle motorcade.
It is worth mentioning here that the chief minister is in DG Khan on his maiden visit to the district since after assuming the charge of the provincial chief executive.
On Friday he inaugurated a new block at the DHQ hospital besides announcing projects worth billions of rupees in the area.
