327 outlaws including proclaimed offenders arrested in Khairpur

  • Teenager dies after falling from a trolley near Khanan Najero area 

KHAIRPUR: As many as 327 outlaws including proclaimed offenders and drug pushers were arrested during various actions in different areas of Khairpur during the last five days, police said on Sunday.

Khairpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Umar Tufail Khan said that the district police had launched an operation against the criminals in all eight talukas including Khairpur, Kingri, Kot Diji, Naro, Gambat, Sobhodero, Thari Mirwah, Faiz Gunj.

He said that during the police raids at different places, 327 criminals, including 185 proclaimed offenders were apprehended with weapons, narcotics and other valuable material was recovered from their possession.

The detainees were wanted in many heinous crimes including kidnapping, robberies, murders and other crimes.

Separate cases were registered against the detainees at concerned police stations and they were being interrogated.


In a separate incident, a teenager died after he fell down from a tractor trolley carrying a group of people coming back from a wedding party near Khanan Narejo area of Khairpur.

Police said that a 14-year-old boy fell down tractor trolley carrying people from Gambat to Agar in Khanan Narejo area of Khairpur.

The youth was critically injured and succumbed to his wound while being shifted to GIMS Hospital.

The body of the deceased was handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities. The police arrested tractor trolley driver and after registering a case against him started an investigation.
