Proud about father’s book ‘Let Her Fly’, says Malala

Nobel prize winner and activist Malala Yousafzai on Friday tweeted about her father Ziauddin Yousafzai’s recently launched book ‘Let Her Fly’.

Malala shared a picture of herself with her father saying that although she was always proud of him, his book had made her especially proud.

The book is Yousafzai’s account of being the father of the girl who survived the infamous attack by Taliban while she was a teenager. It also narrates his own fight for equality.

On October 2012, 15-year old Malala was shot in the head at point-blank range by Taliban gunmen as she was on her way home in the school bus in Swat valley.

She went on to become the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 17 in recognition of her efforts for children’s rights and women’s education.
