ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to meet Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif at the Parliament House on Tuesday.
Nawaz and Shehbaz will discuss party strategy with regards to the All Parties Conference (APC) scheduled to be held on Wednesday and a meeting with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Zardari.
According to reports, Shehbaz will also inform Nawaz about the meeting he held with Zardari on Monday.
Shehbaz and Zardari together entered the National Assembly on Monday and held a brief talk with each other, agreeing to cooperate on issues of national importance and pursue a joint strategy with regards to the country’s problems.
Reports also suggest the two leaders have agreed to support each other in parliament but did not discuss Zardari’s meeting with Nawaz.
Nawaz, however, is not expected to attend the APC, according to reports.
Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman is hosting the conference.
