Sindh govt announces recruitment of doctors without written tests

KARACHI: The government of Sindh has announced that doctors will be recruited without written tests.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s advisor on Law, Anti-Corruption Establishment, and information Murtaza Wahab said the decision was taken to overcome the shortage of doctors in the southern province.

“Doctors will be recruited on the basis of interviews,” Wahab said, adding approximately 1,500 doctors will be recruited without the need to pass a written test.

Taking a test through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is time-consuming. The cabinet has already approved the recruitment of doctors.” said Wahab

The recruitment process will start immediately with experts and MBBS doctors hired on contract basis.

These doctors will have to clear the written exam at a later stage.
