Pillion riding banned for two months in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The district administration on Sunday imposed a two-month ban on pillion riding in the federal capital to avoid any threat to public peace in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) areas.

According to a notification issued by ICT District Magistrate Hamza Shafqaat, the ban has been imposed under Section 144 to avoid possible violence and sabotage and to protect public life and property during the forthcoming month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
