Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, in which wide-ranging issues of mutual interest, including regional security, were discussed.
Prince Mohammad Bin Salman expressed his strong optimism about the success of Pakistan in defeating challenges at hand and also expressed his best wishes and support to the newly elected government. The army chief thanked the prince for best wishes and support to Pakistan.
According to a tweet by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Gafoor on Wednesday, the crown prince had invited the army chief for a meeting, followed by dinner, in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting comes days after Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on his party’s victory in July 2018 general elections. PM Khan is expected to visit Saudi Arabia in the first week of September on his first foreign visit as the prime minister.
