LAHORE: Mainly hot and dry weather will persist across Punjab including the provincial capital on Monday, according to the Met Office forecast.

The maximum temperature in Lahore on Sunday was recorded 39-degree Celsius.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Kashmir and its adjoining areas.

“Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir,” said the Monday forecast.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending eastward.
