Bollywood superstar Salman Khan always manages to find himself in some controversy or another.
Recent reports reveal that the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana police was recently alerted that the actor’s life was in danger prompting the Mumbai police to increase the security for Salman.
According to Indian media reports, Rajasthan’s deadly gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has Khan on his radar. Lawrence allegedly has an involvement in the black buck poaching case as revealed by Sampat Nehra, a sharpshooter with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang of Rajasthan. Sampat confessed that he had been tracking Salman’s movements and was planning to attack Salman since a few months. The shooter was arrested in Hyderabad when he admitted to planning the attack.
While Sampat is currently in jail, his accomplices are still spread out and might reach Mumbai soon to attack Salman. Hence, in order to protect the actor, police officials have beefed up security for the him and Salman now has armed policemen around his house and sets along with personal bodyguards.
Salman’s father, Salim on the matter said that the police is doing its job well.
“There is added security for Salman, who has, in any case, always had a good team of security personnel deployed for him. It (threat) is not much of a concern (for the family). We are only worried about his safety, and that is being taken care of.”
The 52-year-old star is currently running high on back-to-back promotions for his upcoming film Race 3 set to release on Eid ul Fitr. Along with Khan, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez.
