Junaid Jamshed Mosque opens in Karachi

A mosque built in Karachi in the memory of late singer-turned-evangelist Junaid Jamshed opened its doors to the public on Wednesday.

“The Junaid Jamshed Masjid’ has been inaugurated today at Singer Chowrangi, Korangi at J. Unit 2, Karachi. Such a beautiful mosque. It has been named in loving memory of our beloved and dearest JJ. Please do remember Junaid Bhai in your prayers,” actor Sanam Baloch said on Twitter.

On December 7, 2016, flight PK-661 crashed near Havelian after one of its two turboprop engines reportedly failed while travelling from Chitral to Islamabad, killing 47 people on board, including Junaid Jamshed.
