LAHORE: Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Chairman Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail on Thursday said that the Intermediate Part-II Annual Examinations 2018 would be starting from May 5 (Saturday) under the aegis of the Lahore board.
In a statement issued here, the chairman said that more than 171,000 thousand students would appear in the exams while as many as 561 examination centres had been set up for the purpose.
He also said that the board had finalised all arrangements for the conduction of exams and added that training workshops of the examination staff had also been conducted.
“The examination staff has been chosen on merit and monitoring teams have been issued directions for strict monitoring and eradication of use of any unfair means in the exam,” he said and added that LESCO had also been approached by the board to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity to examination centres so that students did not face any difficulty during their papers.
Foolproof security of the examination centres would also be maintained, he concluded.
