Police arrest child for ‘molesting’ minor schoolfellow: report

SAHIWAL: Police claimed to have arrested a 15-year-old boy on Sunday for allegedly molesting a minor schoolfellow at school on Friday, as reported by a local media network.

City police station arrested on Sunday the 15-year-old suspect on the complaint of the victim’s father and booked him under Section 377 of the PPC.

A 15-year-old student of Class IX at Divisional and District Public School allegedly took a five-year-old Class I student to the rear, deserted side of the school building near the generator where he allegedly molested the minor on Friday.

The minor told his father about the incident who reported the matter to school Principal retired Brig Anwarul Hasan Kirmani.

The principal investigated the matter on Saturday and got a confession from the suspect, who was also expelled from the school the same day. The minor boy’s family reported the matter to police on Sunday.
