Any chance all three T20s could be played on the same day, West Indies board asks PCB

KARACHI – After announcing a 13-man squad for the three match T20I series against Pakistan, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) if all the matches could be played out on the same day.

Sources within both boards have informed The Dependent that WICB Michael Muirhead called the PCB chairman Najam Sethi to check if there was any chance of all the matches being played on Sunday.

It is pertinent to mention here that the first of the three match series is scheduled for Sunday, with the WICB demanding a nonstop morning to night stretch ‘to get the tour done with’.

It is also important to note that earlier the three matches were scheduled for April 1, 2 and 4 with the Sindh government requesting a chance in the final match’s date.

“Three matches in a day are easily possible,” Muirhead said while talking to Sethi, The Dependent has learnt. “We see two league matches in a day all the time, so we’ll just get in one more.”

“That way we’ll all get what we went and get this over with ASAP,” he said.
