Court declares Toyota Rawal Motors’ CEO PO in land grabbing case

ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate of Islamabad, Muhammad Saqib Bhatti, on Tuesday declared Toyota Rawal Motors Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nadeem Khalid a proclaimed offender due to non-appearance before the court despite being summoned multiple times.

The court directed the station house officer (SHO) concerned to arrest him in a case related to illegal land grabbing of a private property owned by Kamaluddin Khan situated in Sar-e-Madhu, Islamabad.

The owner of the land is a banker in Islamabad. According to reports, the land was sold to one, Malik Arshad, by a criminal, Boby Khan, through deception. The land was then sold to owner of Toyota showroom Nadeem Khalid.

Nadeem Khalid had himself approached the police for registering a complaint against Malik Arshad for fraudulently selling him the property, however, he continued to occupy the land and initiated illegal construction there.

Furthermore, Nadeem Khalid had got registered a false case against the real owner of the land, Kamaluddin Khan, in connivance with the police.

Kamaluddin had got registered three FIRs [First Information Report] against the land grabbers at Tarnol Police Station but to no avail.

During the court’s proceedings, Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Saqib Bhatti had declared that the evidence available on the record suggested that the accused was avoiding the process of law deliberately.

The court had further forfeited his bail bonds while ordering to cancel such bail, if granted. The court further directed to initiate a process for the attachment of property of the Toyota Rawal Motors CEO.

The court further ordered the SHO concerned to take coercive measures for the arrest of the accused, including the blockage of CNIC of the accused.
