Fawad Hassan Fawad along with 15 others promoted to Grade 22

High-Powered Selection Board (HPSB) finally promoted Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad to Grade 22 along with 15 other officers of different groups.

According to the information available with this scribe, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday gave approval to promote Fawad Hasan Fawad, Muhammad Jalal Sikander Sultan, Tahir Serfaraz Malik, Shoaib Mir Memon, Tahir Hussain, Baber Hasan Bharwana, Tahir Hussain, Jawad Rafiq Malik, Rizwan Ahmad,safiq Aziz, Dr Jahanzeb, Mehar Khaliq Dad Lak, Bashir Ahmad, Pervaiz Jenejo and Noor Ahmad to Grade 22.

The total number of promoted officers is sixteen including eleven from Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), two from Secretariats Group, two from Police Service and one officer of Foreign Service.

Sources further said that Rao Tehseen Ali Khan, information group officer was not promoted due to his name in Dawn Leaks inquiry.

Rao Tehseen Ali Khan had filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in September that HPSB meeting was due and court direct the government to consider his name for promotion to Grade 22 without any influence or pending inquiry. The Establishment Division had made a specific statement that the name of Rao Tehseen will be considered for promotion in the forthcoming meeting of HPSB.
