Competition between urban, rural Sindh constructive for development: Sattar

HYDERABAD: While addressing a public rally in Akbari Ground of Hyderabad organised by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), party chief Farooq Sattar said that competition between Karachi and interior Sindh was constructive as the party leadership did not want to divide Sindh.

He said that there was a need to tell the landlords and innocent residents of Sindh that the people of urban and rural parts of the province were wheels of the same vehicle.

“I appeal to the young people of Sindh to stand with us,” Sattar said. “MQM-P is the only party for the oppressed.”

He said that together the people of rural and urban areas of Sindh could turn it into the most developed province of the country.

“We will form an exemplary association of Sindhi and Urdu speaking people,” he said.

The party chief also declared that the prime minister following general elections 2013 as well as the Sindh chief minister following 2018 elections would come from MQM-P, if delimitations of constituencies were done appropriately.

Expressing hopes about the success of the party’s public gathering earlier, Sattar had told media that the rally would prove the party to be in a commanding position in urban Sindh again.

“Our public gathering’s success is as certain as sunset and sunrise. We have sorted out all our limitations. Today we are facing no allegations,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal criticised the MQM-P leadership and remarked, “He (Dr Sattar) calls his 2,000 participants’ jalsa, a gathering of millions.”
