10 more dengue cases reported in metropolis

KARACHI: At least 10 more dengue fever cases have been detected in the provincial metropolis on Monday, taking the number of reported cases in the city to 627 since November 1.

Per weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Programme for Dengue in Sindh, as many as 122 new dengue fever cases surfaced in the port city in the last week, taking the number of affected patients to 2,574 in Sindh province since January 1 during the ongoing year.

In the port city, around 2,553 dengue cases have already been reported. A total of 11 people, including seven men and four women, have died from dengue fever in the city so far, this year.

A total of 2,574 dengue fever cases were reported in the province, out of which 2,553 belonged to the metropolis while 21 cases were identified in the rest of the province.
