LAHORE: Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab has retrieved as many as 13 properties of expatriate Pakistanis worth Rs 60 million from the illegal occupants during the last week.
OPC Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti informed this while presiding a departmental meeting on Wednesday. Director General Syed Javed Iqbal and other senior officers attended the meeting.
Afzaal Bhatti said that the properties situated in Lahore, Gujranwala, Jehlum, Rawalpindi and Vehari Districts were under illegal occupation. The OPC with the help of relevant District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) got these properties vacated and handed them over to their owners.
He further said that on the special instructions of Punjab chief minister, an IT based modern system had been devised for speedy disposal of the complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
