‘SC’s Panama verdict to give new path to Pakistan’

  • Shujaat says any step against SC to be intolerable

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the nation will not tolerate any step against the Supreme Court.

He said this while talking to the media along with MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Muhammad Basharat Raja and Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi outside the Supreme Court on Monday. Shujaat said that the verdict of the Supreme Court in the Panama case would give a new path to Pakistan.

“Those who are targeting JIT should remember that the Supreme Court had received list of 600 persons for the investigation. Only six capable persons were selected, he said, adding this can be judged from this as how much sincere these six persons were.

He said that this matter has come from Almighty Allah, now whatever verdict the Supreme Court would give in this case would be acceptable because the judges had stated they would deliver historical judgment. He said that the Panama verdict would now not remain limited to the court but it would go higher.

Responding to a question, he said they would take every patriot along and the prime minister should have tendered his resignation by now. Earlier, four parties alliance meeting was held under the chairmanship of the PML president in Islamabad. The meeting took detailed review of the prevailing situation.

Parvez Elahi, Hamid Raza, Allama Nasir Sheerazi, Asad Naqvi, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin, Hafiz Ammar Yasir and Ajmal Khan Wazir also attended the meeting. The participants said that nobody would be allowed to make the institutions controversial whereas the Supreme Court has been requested that the Panama verdict be announced early.

They said that delay in the case verdict would be harmful for Pakistan. Expressing deep concern over Times of India July 13 report, the alliance opined that if prior to Panama case verdict, any major incident or LoC violation occurred then its responsibility will be on Nawaz Sharif.
