Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold an international seerat conference on December 8th and 9th to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
According to a press release issued here, the conference would highlight the message and teachings of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a major source of guidance for humanity to have a successful life.
Representatives from the universities and religious institutions of Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Algeria, Kosovo, Sudan, Brunei, and Saudi Arabia will attend the conference.
According to Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui, the participants will deliberate upon the Islamic concept of social justice and welfare. The conference is also aimed at raising awareness about the rights of the less-privileged.
The conference is being arranged by AIOU’s Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
