The interior ministry has recommended fifty per cent increase in the salaries of the Frontier Constabulary (FC), and a summary in this regard has been sent to the prime minister.
Sources said that in line with directives of the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the interior ministry officials prepared a summary recommending 50 per cent increase in stipend of the FC personnel and the summary was dispatched to PM’s Office for approval.
Meanwhile, service tenure of the FC personnel has also been increased from 35 to 45 years with an increase of 10 years. Special duty allowance has also been approved for FC.
After approval of summary by the PM, the monthly stipend of FC personnel would be raised to Rs 30,000 from the existing Rs 17,000. The interior ministry will formally announce the decision.
