Mobile phone services are shut in Rawalpindi and the federal capital until 3 pm today in light of full dress rehearsals.

Traffic flow from Rawal Dam to Faizabad flyover is disrupted while heavy vehicles are barred from entering the federal capital until 1 pm. Zero point is also shut for all kinds of traffic.

The entrance of heavy traffic will again be shut tonight at 12 am until 3 pm on March 23.

Armed forces and the nation celebrated Pakistan Resolution Day in 2015 after a seven-year gap. Annual parades were earlier avoided due to security threats, however, successful countermeasures including Operation Zarb-e-Azb in tribal parts cleared potential threats.

March 23 commemorates Lahore Resolution and adoption of the first Constitution of Pakistan.
