Supreme Court’s (SC) monitoring judge Justice Amir Hani Muslim chaired a meeting of judges of anti-terrorism courts (ATC) and ordered the Karachi additional inspector general (IG) police to immediately arrest 1,104 wanted criminals.
Justice Muslim convened a meeting of ATCs’ judges in Supreme Court’s Karachi registry. The Sindh prosecutor general revealed that the province had at least 1,104 wanted criminals in its belly. Justice Muslim ordered the police authorities to take quick steps to nab the wanted culprits.
The meeting was told that judicial proceedings were being affected as criminals involved in cases were at large. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto, Sindh interior secretary, jails inspector general (IG) and others participated in the meeting.
Justice Muslim ordered authorities concerned to complete construction of three courts in Central Jail Karachi within three months.
