The Sindh government has appointed former senator Maula Bux Chandio as adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in a reshuffle of the provincial cabinet on Friday.
As an adviser, Chandio will hold the status of information minister. The portfolio was earlier assigned to Sharjeel Memon, who is currently in Dubai.
Similarly, Jam Khan Shoro – previously holding the portfolio of livestock – will take charge as minister of local government, as decided by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at a meeting in Dubai on Friday.
While Syed Nasir Hussain Shah takes charge of the food department, Manzoor Wasan will be left with the responsibility of the mines and minerals department.
PPP MPA Fayyaz Butt earlier working as special assistant to CM will now serve as the head of public health and engineering department.
In a similar meeting in Dubai on July 22, portfolios of several ministers were changed with Memon taking up the charge of works and services and archive ministries.
