Atif expresses concern over delay in Tameer-e-School Programme

Expressing his grave concern over delay on Tameer-e- School Programme, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Muhammad Atif Khan, has strictly directed the authorities concerned to ensure implementation on the said programme within a week and submit its progress report in the next meeting.

He issued these directives while chairing a review meeting on Tameer-e- School Programme, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at Peshawar, on Monday. The meeting beside others was also attended by the Secretary Education Ali Raza Bhutta, Additional Secretary and authorities concerned of the relevant departments.

Under the said programme, missing facilities like drinking water, boundary walls, additional rooms, toilets, furniture and computer labs were being provided in the Government run schools and so far schools for the purpose have been identified.

The Education Minister said that KPK is the only province of the country which spending 27.4% of its budget on education. He declared that the government would give pen in the hands of each and every child of the province as per vision of PTI Chief Imran Khan.

Atif continued that nation’s spending money on education of children, no power of the world could remove it and success becomes its fate. He added that the government of KPK considers spending of money on education as its prime responsibility and its team would leave no stone unturned to fulfil this responsibility.
