Action against seminaries will harm education: Haider

KHUZDAR:

Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haider said on Sunday that seminaries were providing free education to almost five million male and female students across the country. He further claimed that any action against madressahs would have a negative impact on the country’s poor educational structure, according to local media sources.

Speaking at the ‘Protection of Religious Seminaries Conference’, Haider stated that six million children were deprived of education across the country.

Haideri rejected propaganda against seminaries, claiming that madrassas were not only providing religious education, but modern education as well.

Haider  further claimed that he was making efforts to draw attention of the federal government to the problems of Balochistan.
