The Lahore district administration has directed the management of private schools to ensure implementation on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security devised by the Punjab government till December 31.
The instructions in this regard were conveyed to the private school owners during a meeting chaired by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sahibzadi Waseema Umar held at Town Hall on Wednesday. Representatives of Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, private schools and police also were present during the meeting.
The DCO said that boundary wall of schools should be lifted at least 8 feet high and barbed wire also must be placed on it. Trained security guards from licensed security companies must be deployed at main gates, she added.
