Troops move towards Thar for relief work: ISPR


Pakistan Army on Tuesday moved troops to famine-hit Tharparkhar district of Sindh, Asim Bajwa; Director General of Inter- Services Public Relations (ISPR) tweeted.

He said that, last night, Pakistan Army distributed 60 tons of food supplies at four points in the district, adding four medical camps have also been established.

In another tweet, the DG said that two helicopters have also been moved for emergency evacuation, adding Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has directed for all out efforts to save lives and provide relief to the people of the area hit hard by the drought.
