Khan mocks ‘Go Imran Go’ slogan as PTI is set to hold show in Multan today

As the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gears up for a show of strength in Multan today (Friday) PTI Chairman Imran Khan Thursday mocked the ‘Go Imran Go’ slogans raised by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters in Multan earlier in the day, saying his rivals had put little thought while conceiving the slogan since he was not holding any public office.

“They (PML-N supporters) kept chanting ‘Go Imran Go’ in Multan today. Someone ask them where should I go since I’m not the prime minister or the chief minister. I’m not even a MNA now and only heading my party, which I cannot leave,” Khan said, while addressing his supporters at the sit-in being staged on D-Chowk in Islamabad.

Claiming that he enjoyed ‘divine’ support, Khan told his supporters that he would break the nexus between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Zardari.

“We will hold these two ‘crocodiles’ accountable for the damage done to Pakistan when we come into power,” he said.

Khan said that he was expecting a massive public turnout at Friday’s event in Multan, adding that people were fed up with the incumbent system and wanted ‘real change’ in their lives.

He also accused former prime minister and senior PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Abdul Qadir Gilani of killing a youth in Lahore on Wednesday night, saying all Pakistanis were equal and the PTI would ensure the elimination of VIP culture in the country.
