A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed when militants launched a cross-border attack on a Pakistan Army checkpost in Bajaur Agency on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, an FC soldier embraced martyrdom when militants opened fire from across the border (Afghanistan) near Ghakhai pass in Bajaur Agency on Friday afternoon.
Earlier, Afghanistan’s ambassador was summoned by the Foreign Ministry to discuss the issue and ensure that security be tightened along the border.
On June 4, four soldiers were killed and three were wounded in an attack on a Pakistani border post in Bajaur Agency
The Foreign Ministry condemned these unprovoked attacks and said the matter had been raised with the Afghan government in Kabul and with their embassy in Islamabad.
