At least eight persons were killed and two others were injured in a bomb explosion on Tuesday near Sadda Town of Kurram Agency.
Per details, a passenger van was on its way from Para Chamkani to Sadda when it was hit by an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) near Khomta.
As a result of the explosion, the vehicle was blown to pieces and all on board were killed or injured.
An official said that four persons were killed on the spot whereas four others succumbed to injuries in hospital.
All victims belong to Upper Kurram Agency and they were recently repatriated from Internally Displaced People’s camps.
This part of the tribal belt is known for sectarian tensions but officials have termed it an act of terrorism.
So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
