Seven killed in mishaps

At least seven people were killed in different incidents and targeted killings here on Saturday in the metropolitan.
According to reports, a 45-years-old man Waseem Khan s/o Sardar Khan fell from the roof of Muqaddas Masjid, Azam Basti area in the jurisdiction of Mehmoodabad Police Station and died. The body was later moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy. However, family members collected the body from the hospital without any medico-legal formality.
In another incident, a stray bullet killed a 63-years-old woman Azra Jamal wife of Waseem Hassan at Tipu Sultan Road in Bahadurabad area in the limit Bahadurabad Police Station. The body was shifted to JPMC for postmortem. Later, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) 9/2013 under Section 302 and 34 against unidentified men. Furthermore, the body of a 45-years-old man named Faheem was found near Saima Towers, Johar Intersection, Gulistan e Johar area in the jurisdiction of the Sharah-e-Faisal Police Station. The body was later moved to the JPMC for medico legal reasons. Meanwhile, the bodies of two persons were found from Yasin Masjid Street, Joria Bazaar and Kharadar area in the jurisdiction of the Kharadar Police Station. The bodies were later shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi. Police said both persons aged around 35 to 40 years were killed last night by unidentified armed men in the above mentioned area. The identity of both victims was yet to be ascertained. Separately, a man was gunned down by unidentified armed men at Ranchore Lines area in the precinct of Eidgah Police Station. The body was moved to the Civil Hospital Karachi for postmortem, while the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained until the filing of this report. Meanwhile, a woman, aged around 35 years died due to natural causes near Zeenat Complex, Liaquatabad Underpass in the limit of Sharifabad Police Station. The body was moved to ASH to undergo medico-legal formalities. Police said the deceased had no document in her possession when she died and was difficult to establish her identity.
