It was a static display of more than 500 exclusive cars and motorbikes presented to a large audience.
The show turned out to be the biggest gathering of automobile enthusiasts in Pakistan, where more than 15,000 participants attended and shared their passion for cutting-edge automobile technology. This extravaganza was aimed at nurturing the automotive industry in Pakistan, through a flashy event, where the young fans also gained insight on the hazards of street racing and reckless driving. PakWheels has a tradition of orchestrating grand auto-shows and they are already planning for several more in 2013.
Due to the lack of automotive events, a stable and secure environment in the country, people are a bit reluctant to buy the cars for which they’ve dreamed of since childhood even if they can afford them. Most of us though simply cannot buy such vehicles due to the tightening grip over duty and age of car imports. The PakWheels team understands these problems and hence aim to provide a platform for auto enthusiasts to share their passion for vehicles.
The Islamabad Car show received an overwhelming response from the car enthusiasts. Earlier this year in Lahore too, PakWheels had held an Auto Show on the 25th of March, 2012, which was attended by more than 10,000 people.
Last year, a similar event was successfully held on 23rd March 2011 in Lahore.”
The “Glow” brand from Warid Telecom was the Platinum Sponsor of this event, and gave away numerous high-valued prizes to the participants.
