Ministry directs officials to resolve electricity complaints

The Ministry of Water and Power, in a press release on Thursday, directed all Distribution Companies (DISCOs) to depute officials for monitoring performance of complaint and customer services centres in their respective circles so that public complaints may be resolved at the earliest. All electricity consumers were advised to compare their monthly bills with their meter readings immediately on receipt so that over-billing can be checked. This practice would be helpful in reducing chances of any errors in the future as well, said the press release. The Ministry also appealed to consumers for timely payment of monthly bills which would contribute in resolution of the electricity crisis in the country.

    it will be helpful especially in sindh,my complain is that sukkur wapda is giving extra meter reading to bill paing customers. more than half of city is without meters and local adminstration is taking money from non meters coustomers about 1500 hundered per month and this is not only in sukkur i think it is happenig in all other cities.please help us in this matter .
