Islamabad High Court has reserved the verdict on the petition regarding holding of local government election in the federal capital. The petition was filed by filed by Salah-ud-Din, president Small Traders Association Islamabad. The single bench comprised Justice Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi on Monday rejected the application of the district administration Islamabad for giving more time for holding LB polls in federal capital. The standing counsel, Shakeel Abbasi represented the District Administration Islamabad and pleaded that as it was the matter of public interest so the chief commissioner of the city wanted to appear in the court in person to tell his viewpoint to the court on the subject. The lawyer of applicant, Dr Babar Awan said during his argument that the holding of local government election in Islamabad was the need of the hour.
