Sindh, Peshawar HCs moved against NA speaker’s ruling on PM

The decision of Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza for not sending reference against convicted Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani to the Election Commission was challenged in the Sindh and Peshawar High Courts on Monday. A petition was submitted by Human Rights South Asia in Peshawar High Court seeking suspension of the speaker’s ruling because it was violation of article 63 of the constitution. The petitioner said that dangerous results of NA speaker’s ruling could come in the future. The SHC issued notice to the primer, secretary National Assembly and chief election commis
