Senators question KESC’s performance

Treasury and opposition senators on Thursday criticised the top management of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) for its failure to improve power supply in Karachi and demanded the government to take over the company’s affairs.
They said the management had put a large number of employees in the surplus pool and intended to terminate their services, which could create a grave situation. They said the management of the KESC was not implementing an agreement with the government to protect the jobs of its employees and enhance its power generation capacity.
