LSE adds significant volume

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bullish, on Thursday, marked by a considerable recovery in volume. The LSE-25 index added 46.92 points to close at 3,581.14 against its opening at 3,534.22 levels. Out of total 114 active scrips, 50 went up, 16 went down and 48 closed without any change in their opening values. Volume of the market remained 8.06 million shares, which was 3.32 million shares more than Wednesday’s turnover of 4.74 million shares.
Lotte Pakistan PTA, with a turnover of 2.64 million shares was the volume leader and it added Rs 0.31 to close at Rs 16 against its opening at Rs 15.69. National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), with a turnover of 1.04 million shares, was the second volume leader and it added Rs 3.74 to close at Rs 78.57 against its opening at Rs 74.83. Millat Tractors was the major gainer as it added Rs 6.5 to close at Rs 517.50 against its opening at Rs 511. Pakistan Oil Fields was the major loser as it declined Rs 1.76 to close at Rs 316.18 against its opening at Rs 317.94.
