Robbers, thieves on rampage in Daska

DASKA – The Daska city is in the grip of a crime wave while the people are feeling insecure due to the rising dacoities and thefts in the city areas. The residents of the areas have alleged that the Daska city police have miserably failed to protect the lives and properties of the people, besides their failure to trace the culprits involved in heinous crimes.
They said Daska police remain busy performing special political duties, leaving the innocent people at the mercy of the criminals. Outlaws remained active and took away a car, a motorcycle, gold ornaments and other valuables worth lakhs of rupees in different strikes in Daska tehsil. Social, religious, business and political circles have expressed grave concern over the rising dacoities, robberies and thefts in all congested residential, commercial and industrial areas.
The residents have urged Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab IGP, the regional police officer and the Sialkot DPO to take effective measures to improve the situation.
