Kamran Michael says reconstruction of Sangla Hill church completed

LAHORE – Punjab Minorities and Human Rights Minister Kamran Michael said on Tuesday that construction of a new building of the affected church and pastor houses in Sangla Hill has been completed at cost of Rs 40 million. He was talking to representatives of the Christian community.
The minister said that besides a state-of-the-art building of the Presbyterian Church, pastor houses have also been constructed. He said that repair and renovation work of more than 100 churches has been completed across Punjab. Michael said that all citizens have equal rights in Pakistan and the government is committed to protection of life and property of people including minorities.
He stressed upon the need for religious harmony and said that collective efforts be made for maintenance of lasting peace in interest of national survival and solidarity. The minister said that Pakistanis are peaceful people and due to keen interest of the Punjab CM, an atmosphere of tranquility and brotherhood is being promoted in the province.
