Protest held against Kazmi’s dismissal

LAHORE: The Tanzimul Saeed staged a protest against Federal Religious Affairs Minister Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi’s dismissal in front of the Lahore Press Club on Sunday.
The protesters alleged that people involved in assassination attempts on Kazmi were behind his removal. Khatam-e-Nubawat Foundation Chairman Allama Ashraf Saeedi said that the minister’s dismissal was the federal government’s worst decision.
He said that former science and technology minister Azam Sawti was corrupt and returned from the US after committing fraud and identifying himself as Mirza Bashir Ahmad Qadyani.
Maulana Athar Saeedi said that allegations against Kazmi were a part of a plot for fueling sectarianism. Hafiz Usman Saeedi said that Kazmi was made a scapegoat in the whole drama and nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan’s evidence was enough to prove the minister’s innocence.
