Cricketer Batsman Mike Hussey will return to Australia ahead of the third and final one-day international against India, Cricket Australia said on Thursday.
Hussey will return to play in West Australia’s Sheffield Shield match with South Australia. “Mike (Hussey) will have a few days off and then resume cricket in the Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and West Australia commencing on Oct 29 at Adelaide Oval,” national selection panel chairman Andrew Hilditch said.
The visitors, already without a number of leading players including skipper Ricky Ponting, all-rounder Shane Watson and pace spearhead Mitchell Johnson, trail 1-0 in the three-match series.
India swept the test series 2-0. The first ODI was washed out in Kochi while Margao will host the final match on Sunday.
